Position Overview:

Focused on software development and systems engineering for intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Security Engineer with at least 8 years of experience to work out of St. Louis, MO. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) of a U.S. Government system across several domains.
  • Maintains Authority to Operate (ATO), updates XACTA, works with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) team to verify scans are complete, works with Host Based Security System (HBSS) team to verify security software is up to date and functional, submits system change requests into Service+, and maintains Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Employ a functional knowledge of a wide variety of systems and network engineering procedures as they apply to cyber security or infrastructure of network systems and their design development processes.
  • Work with systems leads and systems engineering peers on system designs, requirements development, and process implementation
  • Troubleshoot user issues with regard to the network, servers, and software code. 
  • Work with personnel across multiple engineering disciplines and teams.
  • Participate in continual product improvement efforts and work with team members to implement best practices.
  • Work with limited supervision and takes ownership of assigned projects.as assigned.
  • Responsible for installing Windows OS and Linux updates.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of the information system.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Computer Science/Networks, Mathematics, or a related engineering field.
  • At least eight (8+) years of professional experience designing systems or performing network and information technology engineering or evaluation.
  • Security+ or relevant IAM II certification
  • Expertise in ICD 503 process including use of XACTA 360
  • Knowledgeable in Information standards RMF and DISA STIG.
  • Perform security reviews and recommend security strategies for the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens and currently hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
